HOW TIME-RESTRICTED EATING / INTERMITTENT FASTING CAN FIT INTO YOUR LIFE.

Time-Restricted Eating (TRE) and Intermittent Fasting (IF) put less emphasis on what you’re eating and more on when you’re eating, with the idea that you’ll end up eating less overall by doing so.   Time-Restricted Feeding consists of limiting your eating to only a specific time window each day.   A popular TRE approach is a 16/8 split, in which you only eat during a set 8 hour window each day, and fast the remaining 16 hours.   Intermittent Fasting involves an extreme restriction of calories (about 500 per day) for several days at a time, or completely fasting, without any food, for a full 24 hours (1 or 2 days a week).  During these periods of fasting, you’re often only allowed to drink water, coffee, or tea.
